North America to receive MGS4 L.E. gun metal PS3

After selling out almost immediately on the Japanese Konami site, the Metal Gear Solid 4 gun metal PlayStation 3 bundle has been confirmed to now be heading its way to North America. The sought after bundle was rumored to be exclusive to Japan, so it comes as a great surprise to hear it will make its way across the ocean to NA.
There has been no confirmation on the retail pricing for this bundle; however, we'd imagine that the bundle will retail for a similar amount to that of the black variety. Chances are though, if you're wanting to get your hands on one of these limited bundles, you'll have to place a preorder. According to the Official PlayStation Blog, this bundle is "VERY, VERY Limited Edition." There is no exact number of how many will be released, but we won't be surprised when it isn't many.
On top of this, the official box for the standard bundle has been revealed. Going away from the norm of utilizing just a sleek black box, the company has decided to go in the opposite direction completely. We've included a preview of the box below.
For those of you that aren't aware, the bundle will include a DualShock 3, the 80GB PlayStation 3 and the standard edition of Metal Gear Solid 4.
We're sure a box design for the gun metal version will be released in due time. So keep checking back for that update, until then, we'll keep you up to date with everything MGS4 related.

Nice touch with Snake's reflection on the PS3...If i didnt have a PS3 already, this or the GTA IV bundle would seal the deal for me!

It says clearly that its the 80 gig if you read it. I hope i can get one. I have the $$$ just need to get the timing right. these will sell out quick.

Oh my god, I just can't even imagine how much money these Limited Edition MGS4 PS3's will be selling for on Ebay. I'm sure that sellers will be snatching these up and re-selling them.
I really want to get my hands on that PS3, but if it's going to be the 40GB model just like the Japanese version, then I wont really care that much. But these MGS4 PS3's are going to be worth big bucks and they will only go up in value with each passing year because they are so limited.
If it were me buying one of these, I would buy 2 of them. I would keep one and sell the other on Ebay after they all sold out in stores.
However, I already have a launch 60GB PS3 and I'm not selling that baby for NOTHING. The 60GB PS3 models are rare as well, and they are selling brand new on Ebay for $600-$700 dollars and more.

i wouldnt mind having one of these gun meral PS3's, i only want it cuz its "very vry limited edition" so..........., i already have a 60 gig from luanch night, and its going >>>>>NOWHERE<<<<<<<,........i couldnt sell this ps3..,,just looking at it brings back happy family memories,.......i miss dooey :(

i guess even pro xbox and pro nintendo fans will surely buy this pack without realising what they are doing. It is just so attractive. I am sorry for those who will be missing this one. I am really happy with Kojima san for his great collaboration with the playstation brand.And of course ps fans will surely be getting mgs4 as soon as it is released. even none ps fans will lol
