PSN accounts reach two million in Japan

Japanese website Dengeki is claiming that Sony has now drummed up two million PlayStation Network accounts in the territory since the service launched in November 2006.

Translated by the ever-vigilant chaps over on Kotaku, the report goes on to state that over 700,000 users access PSN on a monthly basis, with 35 million pieces of content downloaded.

The platform holder said in November 2008 that PSN had reached 14 million active accounts globally.
