In the latest rounds of innovative PlayStation 3 advertisements, Sony may have let slip one of their more anticipated secrets of the year. With some sneaky screen capturing, the guys over at Kotaku have picked up on a PlayStation Store screenshot revealing several high-ranking television networks. We've included the screenshot below as well as the original advertisement for you to enjoy. Beware: The song is quite catchy and may get stuck in your head.

With Sony scheduling a press conference for this Friday, we could get confirmation of this much-anticipated feature within days of this article. We'll let you know if anything is confirmed and for when.

@Die-Romantic... That would be tight if this feature came out along with In-Game XMB! Man that is pretty catchy!

this isnt really anything new.... tv for free on your ps3....if you have the bandwidth.... minimum 1.5 mb per sec....stream rate.....or you'll have to dl it...ive read that most of the major networks have signed on. (no fox yet....) ...plus about 5 or 6 cable channels...also you'll be able to transfer these vids to your psp....all for free besides movies.... lame only because I get hbo on demand (pc version) already included in my time warner cable/ phone / internet package....I think I read that it will cost 10.99 per month for hbo...free for network tv....

MMm...I just had a though when watching that trailer.
I noticed the PSeye present in it & that the guy was virtually controlling the XMB.
Now, I wonder if this is a possible aspect with the PSeye? To virtually point at the screen using the PSeye and controlling the XMB?
Maybe it would also be used for DVD/BR/Video controls?

The ad is pretty cool, but the one thing i hate, really hate, is the fact that they only show 2 games when they are showing off "Play Games In High Definition". MLB08 was shown for like over 75% of the time. It's like Sony WANTS people to say they have no games. Nonetheless, I'm excited for shows now!

Errr... "Weee-hooo"?!? Nice to see $ony finally getting with the program. Those of us with sense already use our PS3 as a media client to watch TV and movies. You can bet that this is going to cost an arm and a leg... still, there are plenty of sheep that'll go for it.
