Pachter: New GTA in 'calendar 2010'

Michael Pachter, an analyst with Wedbush Morgan Securities, has reiterated that his company expects the next Grand Theft Auto title to hit shops sometime during calendar 2010.
Despite this forecast, Pachter noted that there’s a chance the game may not arrive before the end of the fiscal year ending October 31, 2010, stating, “While we still expect a GTA game in calendar 2010, it is not clear that the game will be released before the end of Take-Two’s fiscal year ending October 31."
Anthony Gikas of Piper Jaffray also chipped in on the matter, believing GTA V will be unleashed in fiscal 2011 – in other words, the 12 months beginning November 1, 2010. As it stands, Take-Two is keeping mum on the next installment in the mammoth selling crime franchise, so don't hold your breath for any new developments anytime soon.

I'm betting on a 2011 release date. They want to hype Agent up to the level of GTA. A new GTA title could kill the hype for Agent.

anyone know how hard economics is ;)
basing things off assumptions is all one can do.......in fact very few things in economics is based off actual fact. GDP, NPD, Game release dates, all made up using economic indicators.
having said that. this guy seems to fit hesmanes painting lol. stating the obvious :)

and what's the point of saying this....this guy sure talk non-sence a lot. you should keep your mouth shut when under water. "we can except a new burnout in fiscal 2011" so what.....when the producers say they makeing a game that's when we interested not when you telling....haha

The next COD will be shown by E3 next year.
Home will be out of beta stage by 2015.
Killzone & GT will be available on PS4 at some point.
Arkham Asylum sequel to hit before end of this generation.

who cares anyway? rockstar needs to start working on a new game. GTA got old a looong time ago. same crap. different place. San andreas was the last good GTA and i think all of those discs were screwed up cuz everyone i knew who had it their disc went bad... including mine.
