According to Eurogamer, the first episode of Penny Arcade Adventures will have the North American PlayStation Network in stitches from tomorrow. Episode 2 is tipped to follow shortly.

Hothead Games' grandiosely named Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness - Episode One is a tart and tasty fusion of adventure game and RPG, featuring internet comic celebrities Gabe and Tycho. Expect lots of biting humour and some surprisingly solid turn-based battle antics, all for the bargain price of USD 14.99.

Having capitulated to Microsoft's pricing strategies when releasing the Xbox LIVE Arcade version, Hothead Games boss Vlad Ceraldi is keen to keep this and future episodes affordable on PSN. "Other platforms and digital distribution services can make their own decision regarding pricing, of course, but we're recommending under USD 15 for this and all episodes going forward."

"Episode Two will be coming to PlayStation Network before Christmas and we are really happy how it turned out," he added.

Release dates for other regions are still up in the air.
