Infograms President Phil Harrison has said that his company has every reason to be “proud” of upcoming Survival Horror title Alone in the Dark following the game’s positive reception on the Internet to date.
Speaking with Gamesindustry.biz, Harrison, former head of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, commented, "I think we have everything to be proud of about this title. In fact, it was on the Eurogamer forum that I was reading so much fan commentary.”
"There were pages and pages of very passionate and loyal support from the fans, and as I well know the site is pretty opinionated - and there's nothing wrong with that...well, unless you're on the receiving end which I have been on a few occasions..."
Harrison also revealed how he had planned to work with fellow Infograms/Atari stable mate David Gardner previously, adding, "I tell you, that was the hardest thing when I was trying to brainstorm this, when I was trying to come up with a brand that we could use worldwide - every time I came up with a new name for a games company, I'd Google it and find that somebody had already taken it.”
"So when we were looking at what we'd need to create a successful company, and then we evaluated what Infogrames has, it ticked all the boxes."
Alone in the Dark is due out in June on PlayStation 2, PC, Xbox 360 and Wii, with a PlayStation 3 version following later in the year.

Ok, Phil, you are the head of this company...why dont you see to it that this has a simultaneous release across all platforms? You would know how to point the devs in the right direction to get the tech stuff for the PS3, so why hold out on the people that hold you high?

i really hate how PS3 version titles are always released "later"...looks to be a conspiracy if you ask me.....AITD will perform extremely well on the 360, much like dead rising did, while the PS3 version will not do nearly as well being that it has a late release date...i am glad that i own both consoles so that i can make tough decisions like this but for those that do not, it is not fair. BTW, i am holding out for the PS3 version.

i certainly hope this delay isnt too long and that it proves worthwhile. Just another reason to develop for ps3 and port to other consoles i think. Concentrate all resources on the PS then it results in a better game on all platforms. Look at burnout whether you dislike the game or not you have to admit the looks and performance are pretty much identical on both. (sorry god knows were all that lot came from but it would have been a waste of time if i delete it now :P)
This game is looking good and hopefully it will be worth the wait!! -

So sick of the delays man... It's probably gonna take about another year for this to stop completely. It's still happenin' with these games because they have been in development for the past 2-3 years and until all those games from this era are released the PS3 will keep suffering this.
