Q Games, the developer behind DS flight combat title Star Fox: Command, has confirmed availability of its latest PlayStation Network title, PixelJunk Racers.
PixelJunk Racers is an overhead racer, complete with 10 tracks, 32 event types, and up to 7-player offline multiplayer. The game will released through the PlayStation Store alongside the previously announced High Stakes on the Vegas Strip: Poker Edition.
PixelJunk Racers is far from the rudimentary top down racer. The variety it presents is astounding for such a small game, in turn allowing it to have a considerably stronger replay value. Each car is unique, and each race mode is completely different than the last. Despite this, the game can at times become frustrating, as the difficulty level tends to vary on a somewhat erratic basis; nonetheless, it presents one of the most enjoyable PSN multiplayer experiences thus far.
The game will cost approximately USD 6.99 and will be available for purchase on the PlayStation Store later today.

IGN gave it a 5.2, so its a 6.2 as I always add 1 point to the scores for PS3 games as if it was released on 360 it would have scored a point higher.
IGN said it had 5 courses? The other 5 must be in reverse. They said all you do is hold down the accelerate button and steer to finish the course and thats it.

This game caught my eye, but in the negative sense. It looks kind of lame to me, but i'll remain skeptical until I hear some more reviews and see the trailer.
