Price suggests people buy both Gears and Resistance

In a interview with Gamedaily.com, Insomniac CEO Ted Price suggests that since Gears of War 2 has had "fantastic feedback" and "looks beautiful," people who own both a PS3 and Xbox 360 should pick up both Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2 this holiday season.
"Ultimately, as a PS3 owner and an Xbox 360 owner myself, those are two games I would get," said Price. "I want to have the most entertaining experiences on both consoles, so I am going to get the games that have the best feedback. So far, Gears has had fantastic feedback, and I think it looks beautiful. Resistance will make a lot of PS3 owners happy too."
We have not had a chance to get our hands on Gears of War 2 yet, however, we have played Resistance 2, which is a must-own title for any PlayStation 3 owner. Resistance 2 is set to release on November 4, so get your copy pre-ordered today.

i have both consoles i think ill get them both
just b/c one's for the 360 doesn't make it a bad game they both have their pros and cons so i will have to say i agree with ted price here however i still like ps3 better

I actually hope both games get the same score like last year. I always saw them as alter-egos of each other for each console.

See this here, right here. Is the very reason why we need more developers like Insomniac on the market. They have always had respect for any game, even if its on the oppositte console. Good job Ted!

So you guys have played Resistance 2, I know this is entirely subjective but how much better would you say it is than the first as far as graphics, gameplay, story?

If i had a 360, i would too.
I have nothing agaisnt the 360 really, its just that it doesn't have a whoel lot of games tha tappeal too me.

Nice to see appreciation of a game for what it is and not what platform its on.
There is something for everyone on every platform this generation and I think people should accept that & start to enjoy the games for what they are, rather than enjoy a game because its supposedly the best game on the best console nonsense.
If I liked 3rd person, then maybe I would have enjoyed GeOW...but I did appreciate what it offered. Personally FPS offers me more, even if it isn't Socom in FPS simply because I can play them.

I do think Gears 2 is a good game. But I have had a 360 before I had my PS3 and it died. I'm not getting burnt again. Plus I like my gaming time to be a quiet one and not feel like im sitting in an airport.

Can you guys see the difference between Ted Price and Cliffy B? That's the honest and respectful attitude we all expect from developers. Cliffy B should watch, admire and learn with Ted Price.

Its really nice that a developer would say something good about their competition. Unfortunately, I only have a PS3. But I am hoping I can get a Xbox 360 for Christmas.

Really profesional, very nice. It would be good to see Gears 3 on PS3 being that, the contract with EPIC was for two games, a third isn't necesarly a exclusive to Xbox.
@18 - maybe you did not like, but it was a good game.

trator! lol but to be hounist there isn't much diiference between gears 2 and gears 1, though atleast Ted is being open to both unlike that guy who makes the gears of war games who is a huge fan boy and would only stick to xbox because of it's controllers. He evemn swear in an interview about the ps3 he's that much of a fan boy.

I hope you haven't convinced yourself that the reason Cliffy B is developing on xbox is because of the controller. It's called a big paycheck from MS. Don't pretend you wouldn't be interested if it launched PS3. I know if R2 launched on 360, and thats all I owned, I would be very interested because the first game was great.
I actually wasn't blown away by R1 in any way, I think it was just another average shooter. However, R2 looks very promising, and I like what they have done with it. I'm almost definately getting both games.
