MCV’s confirmed that Reef Entertainment is chiselling away on a Rambo game for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
Due out in 2012, the game will apparently “capture the gritty atmosphere and full-on action which made the Rambo movies so successful.”
MCV further adds that Reef Entertainment has locked down a deal with SudioCanal, allowing them to churn out multiple games based on the move series.
Peter Rezon, CEO of Reef Entertainment, commented, "I am a big fan of Sylvester Stallone movies, and when we had the opportunity to secure the video game rights from StudioCanal for the Rambo franchise, we had to grab it with both hands.”
"With the success of the most recent Rambo film, and an international appetite for action movies with Expendables 2 scheduled for release next summer, we felt now was a good time to do something special with this licence."
That’s about all there is to go on right now, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop on any developments as we get them. Stay tuned.
