Red Bull is first third-party partner revealed for Home

We all knew that Home would be a haven for advertising and getting your companies logo branded and plastered throughout the highly anticipated social networking platform.
So, it's no surprise that some of the biggest names in the world are going to be partnering up with the application to bring their product up close and personal. Revolution is reporting that Red Bull is the very first company revealed for this procedure.
The company will have its own personal Home space, where gamers can hang out and take part in a game that has been made famous through Red Bull for quite some time, the Red Bull Air Race.
According to John Beasley, Brand Marketing Manager for Red Bull UK, Home provides the company with the opportunity to recreate their business plan within a video game atmosphere.
"The game gave us the first opportunity to recreate in the gaming world what we try to do in the real world, which is to facilitate interaction, to give people stories, memories, experiences and a really good opportunity to interact with the brand," he said. "It's an easy environment for brands to take that first step into gaming."
When you put it like Beasley does, it makes perfect sense for non-gaming companies to make the transition into the industry via this popular medium.

Imagine playing your favrite game for 10 hours and then popping on Home to see a Redbull ad...THATS smart. I do like monster better.

@5 Of course you are right. If the PS3 will be looked at as the console for the hardest of the hardcore forever, then so be it. They will never be in first (or second) like that, though.

Also a great spot to sell spin-offs from games.
Imagine standing on your balcony & looking at a 3D view of a scene from Final Fantasy, KillZone, GT5 Race tracks....or have your Space designed in the these of resident Evil & the scene outside being from the game.
Home could offer so much to pay for itself & for developers & fans alike.
But it still needs the most important element...a reason for gamers to go there IMO.

the best way to make gamers come into home is after there get there severs strong is to put the ps store into home. plus they have to have ome type of event going on every month or some small thing happening every week or two. like how they had the pool thing last week. then plus i dont want to see companies that have othing to do with gaming in home.

i agree with you there gingo. if 3rd parties are getting benefits then others will follow. and a snowball effect will happen.
home is going to be forever evolving and it will be thanx to the money 3rd party comps are paying to be there. and in the end we the gamers are benefiting. wich is a good thing (more rare by the year) eventually home will come to ps4 or whatever and by 2009 i bet we see some new loacation on the world map
