Resident Evil 5 coming this fiscal year?

Capcoms latest financial report has disclosed that the publisher is planning to simultaneously release Resident Evil 5 over both the XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3 before the end of this fiscal year. For those of you unsure of what that means, it means that before next April 2009, Resident Evil 5 should be hitting retail shelves.

The company is also looking to release Bionic Commando and Moto GP 08 before the fiscal year as well.

With Resident Evil 4 releasing in January and March of 2004, it only makes sense to assume that Resident Evil 5 won't make it out the door in time for the holiday rush. Regardless of when we finally get to see the next step in the horror saga, the franchises history shows it'll deliver on the excitement and scare factor. RE5 will be taking over where Code Veronica left off and will be the first step into this generation of consoles.

    i think it wont be as good as re4 that game is on my top 5 it'll be hard to top that

    RE4 is my favorite game of all time.  I'm still holding out hope that this will replace it at the top of my list.  They've taken long enough.  Just as long as the graphics and environments are dumbed down so they fit on 360's meager 9GB disc.

    This Gen has ruined many PS2 classical sequel just like DMC4 because of Microsofts belief that you don't need 50gb but in truth you do

    Yet again, I must have some hope that the PS3 version is not dumbed down.
