Insomniac Games has outlined details on its latest update to hit Resistance: Fall of Man, patch 6, in addition to confirming that the company will be adding rumble functionality to the game for use with the new Dual Shock 3 pad.
Speaking in the firm’s latest podcast, Insomniac’s Rod McIntosh stated the latest patch would allow users to take screenshots, in addition to a number of gameplay tweaks, mostly related to weaponry.
“You can turn off the 40mm grenade, you can turn off the bullseye tag, you can create a private game that is password protected now”, said McIntosh.
He also added that the voice chat featured in custom games would allow players to communicate with anyone they desire, whether it is teammates, opponents or even spectators.

Weaponry:
-Decreased range and firepower of the shotgun
-Increasing reload time on Rocket launcher
-Decreased speed and radius of explosion on rocket launcher
-Decreased radius of explosion from frag grenade
-Increased damage for Hedgehog grenades but less chances for one hit kills.
-Increased rate of fire on the Arc Charger, decreased damage of primary fire, secondary fire damage increased
-Clips Size of Arc Charger has been reduced
-Refire rate on Bullseye tags are slower
Miscellaneous:
-Defender, Elite Soldier, Assassin medals will now record on every game type for ranked games.

I love this game! I can see the screenshots of people getting owned being posted all over the net soon enough. Great changes, but i think they still need to tweak the timing of when exactly the Hedgehog grenades go off. I am tired of being offed BEFORE the thing explodes, only to see my already dead body, get pummeled by the spikes after the fact. Plus, there is too much of a discrepancy with where you see that another player is looking at. Another player can have a look speed of 9 and spin around in under a second, but when you see them it takes longer basically misrepresenting their bodily orientation. It is not the biggest deal but it can be more accurate. Anyone else have tweak suggestions or comments on mine?
I've got to start playing Resistance again, now that they've updated some stuff, got rid of some of those stupid glitches...I think Resistance could have a big come-back...

I think the tweaks were necessary. I can be called a "d*mn Tagger", and sometimes I feel pity to my prey :P, so limiting my tags will be fair :) . But then comes someone with a shotgun and usually that's TheEnd.
Those "time-lags" you experience may be due to playing Worldwide. A 1000ms ping is nothing unusual when the server is on the other side of the world :). It's simply impossible to be improved enough.

they FINALLY took some of the BANG out of the shotgun....that is what made me stop playing in the first place...30 feet away and get killed by one shotgun blast...blah
online mode just got less fun. Now it is harder to kill people. I think that this is a bad idea. :(

what! they should increase insted of decrease and decrease insted of increase
I really do like how these PS3 games are being supported by their dev's. Warhawk is having continous patching and fixes, Motorstorm 3.0 will hopefully soon hit, and Resistance is living well with many fixes now after being released a year ago.
Um firstly 95% of you who post on here are complete retards, this is exactly what this game needed. The weapons have always been completely overpowered rediculously enough that a LARRK or shotgun could kill you 99% of the time when it shouldn't have. Everyone who says this just ruined the game is a noob and probably is mad because their k/d ratio is about to drastically decrease. Finally I will play this game again and kill people the way they were meant to be killed.
they should of done this like 8 months ago now resistance got old.........
