Resistance 2 public beta begins today in U.S.

The Resistance 2 public beta is finally underway! CVG reports that keys to the U.S. servers are being given out this very moment across the Internet. Keep one eye on your inbox and the other on these hallowed pages - we'll be back with details of any sites offering access. The U.K. beta is scheduled to go live on October 20.

Resistance 2 is the long-sought follow-up to Insomniac's bug-stomping PlayStation 3 launch title. It's absolutely vast, with 60-player competitive multiplayer, a stand-alone 8-player co-op campaign and maps that are four times the size of the original's already gargantuan arenas.

The game will infect U.S. outlets on November 4, before mounting an invasion of Europe on November 28. We're pretty hyped. You should be too.

    You can DL it off a US account and play it on your PAL one, if you managed to get a beta key from an American connection that is...

    I got my key in my email earlier. Tried downloading it but the PSN store is down since it's thursday. After the update I am going to dl R2 but not play it tonight unfortunately. Darn midterms!

    I just spent 4 hours playing it last night the wait was truly worth it. I got my code from game stop pre-order. I have noticed though its still not available to the Qore subscribers....wtf.... Come on Qore.
