Shortly after it's release, Rock Band generated a great deal of negative publicity due to manufacturing flaws in the guitars included as part of the bundle. To cover up this potential PR blunder, EA and Harmonix offered those with the affected guitars to replace them free of charge.
To try to completely neutralize the situation and put a positive spin on it, EA offered customers that were waiting on new guitars a brand new EA-published game. When word came out of this, most assumed that the game would be one that was collecting dust in some EA warehouse that you'd probably not even consider buying on it's release.
But to the surprise of many, the games EA is offering as part of the warranty guitar exchange are relatively new, including a copy of the Rock Band game (software only). The only catch to this offer is that the free game requests must be placed by January 11, 2008, so those eligible should jump on the opportunity ASAP. The full list of games include:

Not bad...some alright titles in there.
I had to have my guitar replaced, how do I pick up a game as well?

I just got my guitar replaced but I never got a letter for this how do I order this

The list was for the people who had to wait a long time for the replacement guitar because of the manufacturing slowdown. I think if you got your replacement guitar without having to wait awhile or you didn't get the letter then your out of luck.
Aside from skate there arent many games worth the trouble. I mean anyone dealing with the issues already has a copy of Rockband so the stand alone version offer dosent even make any sense. Simpsons will be 20 bucks in another couple of months because it got horrible reviews (a shame really it had so much potential) Maybe Command and Conquer but not everyone is into those games frankly.
I'm sure some people will find a decent game in this pile but it's like digging in a grab bag full of budget titles hoping to find one reall winner.
