Rumor: KHIII to be shown at TGS as PS3 exclusive

According to the October issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine, it's rumored that Square Enix will not only reveal Kingdom Hearts III at the Tokyo Game Show, but announce the title as a PlayStation 3 exclusive.
“Kingdom Hearts III is currently in development as a PS3 exclusive and will be announced at TGS.” -OPM
Rumors have been circling this title since early last year, with speculation coming from both viewers at the Square Enix Party in the Closed Mega Theatre in 2007, and players who beat Kingdom Hearts 2 and unlocked the secret trailer. With the Tokyo Game Show set to begin on October 9, it won't be too much longer until we verify or disprove this information.

well i never liked the series and dont really care but if this does turn out not be an exclusive it will be another sign of Sony losing its power!

i thought sora's story was done, which sucked cuz it wouldn't be KH without sora and the gang, but this is definitely something to look forward to, and would be even more awesome if this rumor became valid. we can only hope...................................

im with chrisandmyps3 on this, ive never really liked the series either, its way over hyped, but i do think since it is a popular series, if it were a PS3 exclusive it would help the PS3 greatly, cus the system needs all the help it can get to gain leverage. i do hope this is true tho.

@Dr Tee If they can do a 2004-2005 trailer for MGS4 with Playstation 2 hardware because PS3 dev kits didn't even exist yet, I think they could probably get some kind of announcement out for KHIII.

yeah definently check out birth by sleep! rumored to be on the psp. i read about it on the playstation forums, but the ending video is actually the beginning of birth by sleep. theres already a 3 minute video out showing what happens after the secret video.

Its Nomura which is the lead designer for Kingdom Hearts. Hes also the lead designer for Final Fantasy Versus 13 which is staying exclusive because well think of him as Kojima for Square-Enix pretty much. Which means I guess you can expect this to be PlayStation 3 exclusive as well. I'm not sure if it'll be announced at TGS, but I can expect that the game is going to be exclusive to PlayStation 3. By the way Square-Enix think highly of this guy, they'll do what he wants them to do. They did after all throw a party just for him, himself.

For some people like myself this would me MEGA. I love this game 1000 times mroe then i could ever like the FF series so i really hope this game is built from the ground up utilizing the PS3 to its fullest potential.

Couldnt care less bout SE anymore.
I highly doubt that Versus will stay an exclusive as it is still a way off the release date. So they said about FF13 that it will be for Playstation 3 only in cloud trailers.

When will you people learn about what the word currently. Currently means as of now which means that it is subject to change. And why are thet showing a picture of batman? jk gingo even if they do keep it an exclusive it will never put them in a better light. I'm too jaded already

Square needs to give us some exclusives, they gave Infinite Undiscovery and Star Ocean to 360, give us freakin KH, but atleast thanks for Versus XIII, WHEN it comes out

kh is one of my favorite games of all time if it is ps3 exclusive this is more than to make up for the ffxiii going multiplat.

Seeing how Nomura was the creator of the KH series I don't see it going exclusive, but who knows. Anyway Justin the pictures you posted are for Birth By Sleep a PSP KH game, which is pretty much the prequel to the entire series. Just trying to clear things up a bit.

if this game was going to move millions of ps3 then microsoft would make it go multi plat like they did ff13.any big threats to the 360 install base and they will throw money at it or them lol.

Square Enis is making 3 new Kingdom Hearts Series:
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep - for the PSP
Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days - For the DS
Kingdom Hearts: Coded - for the mobile phone
There is even proof. behind the scenes videos, preview scans, screenshoots, inerviews with square enix. I dont know why PSU doesnt know this..

kingdom hearts 3 has 2 b an exclusive graphics look amazing. how does square enix look on xbox hardware? not good at all but whats up with the storyline? sora has 2 b the main character right? and where and what are these armored knight stuff wuts really going on with KHIII. no more damn rumors

Ok, I've watched several hundred videos on KH Birth by Sleep, in japanese and with english subs. The three knights, per say, are three keyblade apprentatices, under a master called Eraquos I think, (can't remember the spelling exactly) Anyways, the three knights are Terra, Ven, and Aqua. Terra is the big guy (strength), Ven is the thin guy with blonde hair who looks like Roxas, more will be explained as to why that is later on (speed), and aqua is the blue haired girl who I believe is in love with Ven (magic). The evil looking old scientist with the a white goatee, is Master Xehanort. If you look closely at what he is wearing, when walking towards the three knights in the keyblade graveyard, the gloves, boots, cape, and belt are the same to the Ansem Heartless that Sora defeated in KH1. Now at the end of the trailer for the secret ending, where Terra rips off his helmet, and then his eyes turn from blue to yellow, at that moment he is embracing the darkness in his heart to try to defeat Master Xehanort. But when this happens, shown on another video in japanese, Master Xehanort absorbs his body, and Terra's face then looks exactly like the nobody Xehanort. When this happens, Terra's armor comes to life because it still contained some light left over from Terra before he was absorbed. You fight as the suit of armor and defeat Master Xehanort. The armor then kneels and says

"Aqua, Ven, I will definately..." and then fades to black on one clip I watched, followed by the games credits.
Also, when the Master Xehanort is walking towards the three heroes, another character appears next to Master Xehanort, this is his apprentice, who is apart of Ven. You see Master Xehanort took apart of Sora's heart and created Ven, then tricked Ven and created a dark side of Ven to create X-Blade, the ultimate blade, it was made to try to unlock the darkness in Kingdom Hearts. The three knights were in the keyblade graveyard to stop Master Xehanort from doing this.Terra goes after Master Xehanort and Aqua and Ven fight the apprentice. Ven later tries to help out Terra by sneaking up on Master Xehanort, but fails and gets caught. Master Xehanort then used a blizzard kind of spell and freezes Ven. He's not dead because in another video, Aqua catches Ven before he hits the ground where he could have broken. She slowly defrosts Ven to later fight the apprentice.When Ven and the apprentice fight, Ven wins, but when he does, his heart leaves his body because he destroyed apart of himself. Ven's heart then wanders the darkness until it hears Sora's voice and it then returns to it original spot. At this point Sora is now purely light, for the darkness was taken out of him then destroyed.When Ven beats the apprentice, Aqua destroys the X-Blade and then there is an explosion, king mickey comes along a saves Aqua and the body of Ven, but he couldn't find Terra. King Mickey then goes back to Master Yin-Sid's castle and that's where they learn that Ven will not awake because his heart is no longer in his body.So in the first KH, when Sora becomes a heartless to save Kairi's heart, Roxas is created because of the remenent of Ven. Also, when Sora goes to sleep for a year, Namine collects the memories of Roxas because his was once apart of Sora, and when she's all done, that's why Sora wakes up. The memories of Ven and Roxas had to return to Sora.OK!!!! almost done, Terra was the one of the three knights who was not destined to be a keyblade weilder, so Master Xehanort came to him, before they realized he was the bad guy, and tricked him into thinking that if he embraced the darkness in his heart he would be able to weild the keyblade, but Master Xehanort is only saying this to get a new body so that he can witness the after affects of kingdom hearts being released with darkness.The only thing I don't know is in the keyblade graveyard, Terra picks up Sora's keyblade which you start with in KH 1 & 2. Ven picks up Riku's blade, and then Aqua picks up the last one which I think is Kairi's when she recieves one in KH in the castle from Riku. If its not Kairi's then it might be King MIckey's from KH 1 & 2 because in this one, King mIckey has the magic keyblade you get from Master Yin Sid in KH2 at the beginning.I think this is all, if you have any questions to bad, just check around on youtube, start withtype in on google, web-kingdom hearts xehanort- this should show you the relationship between Master Xehanort and the Ansem Heartless.Hope this comes out in America soon, can't stand this anymore.
