According to Internet reports, a sequel to Insomniac’s PlayStation 3 launch title, Resistance: Fall of Man is currently in development and scheduled for release in November 2008.
As reported by Kotaku.com, the game is supposedly going to be set in North America, and follows an as-of-yet unnamed protagonist as he battles his way through the Chimera invasion of the United States. Locations so far are said to include Chicago and San Francisco.
Additionally, a number of new vehicles will be featured in the game, including three new airborne crafts as well as returning ones from the first game, and will also be included in the multiplayer levels. Finally, the sequel is said to end on a cliffhanger, hinting toward a third iteration at some point in the future.
As it stands, we advise you to take this as nothing more than speculation at this point, at least until word is received from either Sony or Insomniac on the matter.

I hope this is true. Insomniac is making quite a name for itself. Three games in three years is quite a tall order to fill but if any company can do it, it's Insomniac.

At the end of Fall of Man, maybe Nathan is being taken by the US government because they've seen him defeat the chimera in england. They take him back to America to help them defeat the chimera that have migrated from Russia.
The third game is probably when you head into Russia to learn the secrets of how the chimera came to be and how to stop it all.
What do you guys think? -

I wasn't that crazy about the first one. I thought it was decent but I saw ways in which they could have stepped the game up and I am eagerly awaiting the next game. Insomniac is an awesome company.

Just to inform Zero...kool whats-his-name and others that Insomniac has stated that there will be a sequal, but it will not be called Resistande: Rise of Man!! Those were just rumors caused by alot of fans since it would be logical to make that title, but who knows? Insomniac tends to surpise.

Finally! This could be the series that makes the PS3 a must buy. Kind of like the different, not-quite-as-good first person shooter trilogy on a certain not-quite-as-good console that everyone raves about these days. "ZOMG massa chef iz teh shiznet ftw!!!!!!!11111 one one"
God I hate Microlimp......

I think if they are doing United States levels like: The Harbor of Baltimore, Washington D.C. and New York City and the Appalichan Mountains out side of Virginia and Maryland would be the best ones, the East coast would have a better variety in enviornment in my opinion

I got CoD4 because I thought I could play with my brothers co op. I am a co op person, besides, what's the point of getting a game if you can't share it? Either way, I traded it in to get Resistance, and this game is AWESOME. I cannot wait to get the second part...
