Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has confirmed release windows for three upcoming high profile PlayStation 3 titles in the region.

Details originally cropped up here, claiming the company had pinned down a September release for LittleBigPlanet and Killzone 2, along with a November launch for Insomniac’s highly anticipated shooter, Resistance 2.

When contacted by videogaming247, an SCEE spokesperson stated, “Yes this information is all correct - although it has been in the public domain for a while now.”

Although LittleBigPlanet had previously been pegged for a September release in Europe, both Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 had yet to receive any information on when PAL gamers could expect them on store shelves.

Stay tuned.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! This is what I've been waiting for and hoping for. I was so scared that Killzone or Resistance 2 was going to get pushed or something. It's just nice to have some confirmation to ease my mind. Gamestop has these exact same release dates for Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, and Resistance.

It almost amazes me how fast Insomniac got Resistance 2 out. They must have started developement on Resistance 2 right after they finished the first Resistance in 2006 because there's no other way. And Killzone 2 has been in development for 3-4 years because the first Killzone came out in 2004. Now that these 3 titles are confirmed by Sony, it give me more peace of mind.

The PS3 exclusive games are just rolling out this year. There's GT5 Prologue in April, Haze in May, MGS4 in June, Killzone 2 and LittleBigPlanet in September, and to end the year with a bang, it's Resistance 2, it's just AWESOME.

In my estimation,Killzone 2 has to be better than COD 4 and GOW.There's no way it can fail that target.I have a good feeling it will be just amazing seeing as they've taken so long to refine it.I can't friggin wait for this game.Boooyaaah

This may allow Sony to maintain a consistent lineup throughout the year.

Haze in May, Metal Gear Solid 4 in June and now the fall is set up well.

What releases to they have for July and August though?

    k. well. something big needs to hit in october. Seriously, LBP can't speed it up a bit? Resistance for sept, lbp for oct, and KZ2 for november. And then motorstorm 2 for december. it's perfect. Unless... tekken 6 is dropping in october ^^;... in which case I'd rather things no other way :D

At least there are enough good games in the spring and early summer to hold us over until then.  I'm going to be working my *** off to get enough money for all these great games and I can finally get a 360.
