SNK announces two new titles for PS2

Posted on October 1st, 2007 at 07:12 EDT

SNK Playmore has announced two new titles that will be making their way onto the PlayStation 2 later this year - King Of Fighters XI, and NeoGeo Battle Coliseum.

King of Fighters XI is the latest in the long running series. It will add Quick Shift and Saving Shift options for more control when switching characters. Also, the new Judgement Indicator will help measure player aggression, combo scores and special moves performed.

NeoGeo Battle Coliseum is a two on two tag team fighter, which showcases characters from various SNK games such as Metal Slug, World Heroes, Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, Samurai Showdown, and Last Blade.

Both titles will be hitting store shelves this fall. Be sure to check back for more details as they become available.

Great to see that I can finally buy an orginal US copy for my collection.....but I have been playing these two from the day they were released in Japan (more than a year ago). I only wish they would add the ability to play online....even if only by PS3 owners. Its gay how only the JAP versions have online play and not the US and PAL versions. Great new still =)

@ gingo - These games were made for the PS2 over a year ago...its just that they were never released in the USA. For that they are called "new". SNK Playmore has stated that the new KOF XII will be on the PS3...however, its not going to be until 2009-2010.

Better late then never, I was wondering where this game was coming out. KOFXII will be out later on next year I think, right before Super Battle Opera in Japan.
