SackBoy heads to Hot Shots

SackBoys and SackGirls have had plenty of opportunities to play dress-up, but they're fairly homely creatures; they don't like to travel outside of their comfy LittleBigPlanet. Today, however, Japan's PlayStation site revealed that SackBoy is packing up his bags and heading to Hot Shots Golf.

SackBoy is a business man though -- he has to make a living like the rest of us. So, he'll visit your PS3 if you pay the 500 yen visitation fee on the Japanese PlayStation Store. No word yet on if SackBoy and crew will come to other regions, but given their widespread fame, it wouldn't be a stretch.

    This is rather good news.  Everybodys golf is an excellent game which I don't play nearly enough...

    This is quite possibly the best game related news ever. I hope Sackboy's head doesn't get in the way of his swing (like Toro - no wonder he's free) and I'd like him to be an expert character. It would be nice to see him whack the ball 300+ yards.

    Because DLC is being charged for, a trophy patch would presumably be free.  I wish there were a trophy patch though.

    I love Little Big Planet, it's one of the few PS3 games I can say that about but for the love of god don't over-expose this series.  I feel like every other little news item that comes out has something to do with this game creeping into another world.  This isn't Nintendo and Sackboy isn't Mario.

    Load up Everybody's Golf, Europeans because you'll be prompted with an update to download. Usually when this happens, a new character/costume set/course is available to buy on the PSN store.

    Sackboy could be coming to Everybody's Golf today!
