Serious Sam HD coming to PS3?

In an interview with G4, Croteam CEO Roman Ribaric said the company originally planned on releasing Serious Sam HD on the PlayStation Network, but ultimately fell short for financial and time restraint reasons. Essentially, he wants to know from PlayStation 3 owners whether or not they are willing to wait for its release on Sony’s console several months after the game’s release on PC and Xbox Live Arcade.
Ribaric stated: “It was either to do PSN by the same date or forget about it. There was also a thought to find another team to do it, but nobody was either willing (a.k.a. not enough time/money/interest) or realistically being able (or crazy enough) to do it in such (a) short period.”
Still, he says, the game would work well on the PS3. “It would feel perfect to have it on PSN as well,” he said. “However, we are a garage team of 20 people, although with a larger garage now, working on Serious Sam HD for PC and XBLA platforms. Along that, we are developing Serious Sam 3 and Serious Engine 3 tech for both platforms. Now, I know we are good, but we are not that good to add PSN and finish at the same time. Just kidding, we are that good, but we are not supermen.”

I hope it is a good game. I heard that Serious Sam 2 was not that good. If it is a remake of The first SS, then no thanks since I already have it.

Sure I want a Searious Sam on PSN, it was a fun game & I would definitely play (buy) it again.... Especially because I´m Croatian :) Pozz decki!

I remember trying a demo of SS on the PS2 yonks ago, can't remember which one it was but it was a very wacky and messy FPS where you could wallpaper the interiors of buildings with the blood and guts of some creatures. Dumb gun fun it was and it could be well worth putting it on the PSN.
However an option of either that or the original DooM games? No contest I'm afraid as the latter is solid gold:-p

Why are we always last in the list to get anything? F$@K Microsoft, what does the 360 have that the PS3 doesn't have? I think it's a serious insult to us Sony Fans to say that they didn't have enough time! Thats my thought...

yea I agree with 19, my first reaction to this was, well if you couldn't be assed putting the effort into making the game for PS then screw you. It just kinda comes across like the PS was an afterthought, which sucks.

No. If they are planning on making a new game or if they feel they would like to get accustomed to the PS3 hardware........ then fine. But a remake just for the sake of remake FPS is not neccessary on the PSN.

the easiest solution for the company: focus on PS3 and 360; then after you complete that you prepare something for the PC; that's what most companies do
but now regarding the game, I really don't care about this game. I've seen this game around on PCs and doesn't look that good, so I don't really care if it comes out for PS3 or not. Even if it comes out I don't think I'd care. With so many great games coming like Batman Arkham Asylum and Assassins Creed 2, who cares about a class B game?
