Sonic Unleashed Euro boxart revealed

SEGA has unveiled the official boxart for the PAL release of its upcoming platform title, Sonic Unleashed.



Due out later this year, Sonic Unleashed allows players to control the spiky blue protagonist in ‘werehog’ form for the first time in the series, with locations spanning many ‘real world’ settings, including Europe, Greece, China and Africa.

Gameplay is comprised of an amalgamation of classic 2D side-scrolling levels spliced with the traditional third person perspective seen in recent instalments such as Sonic Adventure and Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)

Let's just hope Unleashed has what it takes to restore some much needed life back into this venerable yet rapidly lagging series.

    @ Gingo I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the American box art, will probably be better than our european one.

    And also i think the game might actually be better than the box art too :-O

    Well to be honest this game does look cool. I know Sonic hasnt had a very good rep in recent years - but after watching the gameplay footage from this it really draws you in. I will certainly be checking it out come release. Might be a return to form.

    I think SEGA should do a remake of Sonic the Hedgehog 1&2 for the PSN and Xbox Live because they would probably get more money from it than this... also the game is one of my all time favourites :)

    i read somewhere like IGN or kotaku that  when sonic turns into into werewolf sonic, he is slow and has stretchy arms that swing around to hit enemies...

    Man let's hope he can. I actually might buy the game just to see what's up it's better than just to keep buying FPS they keep shoving down our throats.

     Actually pretty cool cover,maybe this one will be near of dreamcast 3d sonic quality. Hopefully it deliveres.

    I think this game is going to be a awful it started off looking ok then they ruined it with those sonic wolf sections.  Think I will make a lbp sonic level lol.

    actually just the other day i got a Sega ultimate emulator that plays every sega system that ever came out and its games. downloaded all the old sonic games for the genesis and even got Sonic CD, Knuckels Chaotix, and a bunch of games for the game gear as well. I used to be a huge Sonic fan back in the day, i bought every game including the last one (which sucked big time, i had to trade it in). They were all good up till Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast then they went downhill from there i'm afraid.

    i liked sonic 2 and sonic&knuckles after that i havent pick up a sega controller since. sega need a home base Sony should buy there old games. i wanna play datona usa again that was a hot arcade game.
