Sonic Unleashed delayed for PS3

SEGA has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 version of Sonic Unleashed has been pushed back in North America.
While the PS2, Wii and Xbox 360 all see the release of Sonic Unleashed within the next eight days, PS3 owners have to wait until December to get their hands on the title. No reason has been given for the delay.
Sonic Unleashed is touted as a return to form for the spiky blue hedgehog, whose transition to the 3D environment hasn’t gone quite as smoothly as fans had hoped. The franchise hit an all time low in 2006 with the universally panned Sonic the Hedgehog on PS3/Xbox 360.

I think a lot of this has to do with, I have not ONCE seen the PS3 version up and running (only the 360 one), so I'm betting 360 was the lead platform and once it was finished, they planned to port to PS3. I just hope it works.

You're correct, the Xbox 360 version has been delayed until Nov 24th. Gamestats has the PS3 version dated December 12th, but I don't know where they got that info from. Sega has releashed a lot of games lately that are spectacularly awful. I don't know why Sonic Unleahed would be anything different. Sonic just doesn't translate well to 3D, but Sega hasn't figured that out yet. Just drop the new crap and bring back the classic Genesis formula already.
I'd rather pick up the Wii version of Unleashed since it was developed by Dimps, the people behind the excellent Sonic Advance series. I don't trust the Sonic Team to do a good job anymore.

I dont care about this game but why is it that we always have to wait for games while other systems get them first. I konw crapbox pays but if hte ps2 gets it right away why dont we. That sucks

PS3 version was always coming out in December though... its been like this for at least a couple months now

i care so little that it makes me angry. actually, i think the thing that angers me is that they keep making sonic games. i would say that they are ruinging the series, but that damage has already been done.
SEGA should just make an HD version of sonic 2, 3, and sonic and knuckles. but even that would suck since they lost the licence for most of the music for 3.

Funny how Sega always delay Sonic games for the PS3 and even after the delay we get the same product that's been out for a good minute (or, should I say, a while now). They should offer us some extra features or some sort of incentive to make the wait a little eaiser. It's the least they could do.
