According to PlayStation Home director Jack Buser, Sony’s online social hub has become a hot commodity among the development community, with every major publisher showing interest in the service.
"Every major publisher is interested in Home. Here you can speak directly to the PlayStation audience on the platform that your product is on," said Buser.
"You have publishers and brands coming into Home looking to engage with an audience, but they also have the opportunity to generate revenue. It's a model that makes sense for everybody. It's kind of a perfect storm," he said.
In addition, with support from developers and support from the community, PlayStation Home has helped set the PlayStation 3 further apart from other consoles on the market.
"We're building a platform that other people can create content for, which is extremely difficult to do. We spent the time to do it right so that today we have something that is a total console differentiator," Buser added.

HOME is a joke. I deleted it off of my hdd a long time ago. Just a bunch of guy avatars trying to pick up on girl avatars. Lame.

Some ov these comments have gotta b from brain-dead ppl. Tha man iz juss clearly stating that: "With the addition of Home on tha Playstation 3, it seperates it from competitors, and it's a great way to reach your fans/consumers, as well as advertise your product! 4 all u sorry-no-good, boring and unimaginable ppl out there that (knockz Home)....I want u ta remember these ungrateful dayz; when a game developer no longer cares about your suggestions on a specific feature, relating to your console of choice.

I think Home is a great Concept it allows you to meet other fellow gamers online and get a chance to get to know one other out side the typical in game voice chat. The only draw back i would say is that when there is an update, you need to download the section again. Why!?
I'm up for the Publishers getting on to this. Will be good to see what they come up with. I am worried that Home might become too saturised with advertisement and publishers selling stuff rather than giving it away for free.

@3 Then you haven't been there in a while. After we (the people that knew what Home was actually for) got rid of people like you, it became the social hub that it was always supposed to be. You need to read about what you've missed. On second thought, don't. We don't want you back, because you are the type that saw home a a free game and never "got it".
And about the "girl avatar" thing, ALL THE KIDS WITH NO SOCIAL SKILLS THAT SAW HOME THE WAY YOU DID (hmmm...), and left like you did (hmmm...) are gone, so Home is NOTHING like what you saw in December. All you had to do is wait fot it to calm down, though "waiting" is waaay to much to ask anybody these days. But like I said, don't listen to me. Stay out...
...please.

an MGS home space would be very cool. i mean MGS4 is one of sonys best exclusive, why no space for fans? they have resident evil anduncharted and war hawk. all games except uncharted that i hate. i mean think of the endless idea for and MGS space. they could put a demo theater in and such. sony you make me mad some times.......

I haven't been there in a couple months-- but what little time I have left between work + life i'm going to use (1) playing games, and (2) watching blu-rays. It might be cool for kids, but I don't have the spare time to dilly dally with avatars and digital marketing. The whole situation is really contrived compared to an MMO experience--where people are there for a reason and common shared purpose. Home. . .. . MEH

Come on, who didn't think it was going to take some time for Home to flesh out? Of course it's not going to be a service with 20million subscribers and all the things that we want from day one! How could it be? The developers and publishers weren't going to jump on board until WE did.
It's like having a giant Facebook or MySpace community and you already know a couple of things about EVERYBODY else. They have a PS3 and they like games!
IMO, it's shaping up real nice.
oh yeah, @claud3...
Nothing is really entertainment. Not television, not sports, NOTHING. Everything is made to separate you and your money...EVERYTHING.
So it's not a suprise that revenue is so vital to publishers.

guys understand this. We all have are problem with HOME and the SPACE it has. But Making money is the top thing
Are fun and enjoyment is second and will always be that second. So you have to UNDERSTAND that when we log into HOME and go new stuff and go and buy it we are feeding the companies what they want MONEY and thats all
