Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) announced today that PlayStation Network Cards will become more widely available this holiday season.

The vouchers are already offered at Blockbuster, Pamida, Meijer Superstores and Speedway. From October, you'll also be able to pick them up from Wal-Mart, Best Buy and selected Sam's Club outlets. Barnes & Noble College Bookstores will begin selling the cards from November.

The PlayStation Network Card allows you to purchase PS3 and PSP content from the PlayStation Store without using a credit card. They're available in $20 and $50 denominations and will let you buy movies, games, add-on content and more.

"The PlayStation Network Cards are an easy way for PSP and PS3 fans to obtain great games, movies, TV shows and other entertainment through PlayStation Network and we are pleased to offer them at major retailers nationwide," said Eric Lempel, Director of PlayStation Network Operations at SCEA.

"With the holiday season right around the corner, these cards are an ideal gift option for friends and family, whether they are movie aficionados, dedicated gamers or something in between."

Sony has yet to announce plans for other regions.

when they announce store availability like this, they to make sure you can find them nation wide, I really hate reading stuff like this and thinking 'sweet I"m  gonna go pick some up in a few weeks when they've had time to come in' go to the store and not only do they not have them, but the people who work they have never even heard of them (this store being blockbuster)  hopefully when they come to best buy they will actually findable

    Hey Guys,

I was browsing the net and came across this awesome site,
    www.wantafreegift.webs.com

I noticed it on digg and stumbleupon

    http://wantafreegift.stumbleupon.com/public/

    http://digg.com/playstation/If_ur_from_the_UK_USA_Want_a_free_PS3_then_this_is_for_u

Any of you used these site before?

I just signed up to one, now need some referrals.

They've got everything from free ipods, ipod touch, iphones, flat screen TV's, PSP, DS, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360 etc

Pretty sweet if you ask me

We should all digg the site, people need to know about these sites, they seem really useful. Look at how costly a PS3 is for some people.

This is a great idea because I've always felt a little uncomfortable with making purchases with my credit card online. I think this is a good way for us to buy new content without having to worry about our credit card information getting into the wrong hands.
