Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has confirmed that it is phasing out the 80GB MotorStorm bundle, with retailers no longer receiving new inventory for the high-end SKU.
“Retailers aren't getting any new inventory of the 80GB Motorstorm bundle," a Sony representative told gaming blog, Joystiq.
The company was keen to emphasis that only the MotorStorm package is no longer being supplied to retailers, with the firm instead shifting its focus to the upcoming 80GB bundle containing a copy of Konami’s highly anticipated stealth game, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
Still, this move should come as little surprise to regular readers, seeing as how multiple sources in past months claimed that the MotorStorm pack would be phased out in order to accommodate the new bundle.
The MGS4 bundle is due out alongside the game on June 12, 2008.

I think you are an idiot TBH.
On topic, this is an obvious move. Chances are the Motorstorm demo wasn't helping to shift PS3's at this late stage in the games life, so its likely they phased it out for the MGS4 bundle with some relief
This isn't knocking on Motorstorm in the slightest...I really enjoyed that game and Im looking forward to MS2...it was just too old to be used as a promotional package.

Good move.. If they shift there attention to MGS4 bundle they will sell more. nd when Motorstorm 2 arrives, they can make another bundle. I think more people will buy the MGS4 Bundle Deal than the Motorstorm one.. Seeing as they can buy Motorstorm for real cheap now. =]

HazdoTT, your grammar is atrocious. Could you please try to be more legible.
Back on topic. This does seem logical, i mean, why push a fun, but dated game? start focusing on working on the sequel and the advertising for it.

thats to make room for anothergame like metal gear. My idea would be to do one for each type of game. a raceing pack, a shooter, a mmo, a fighter, and even a kid pack.

they should do this more often; new bundle every six months or so, but they need to have newest and most anticipated titles. perhaps a resident evil 5, resistance 2 or killzone 2 bundle? however, they should have bundles with games for younger players and "casual players".
