Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has refused to issue comment on elusive PlayStation 3 title, Afrika, following a listing on Play Asia suggesting that the game hits Japan this August.
The online retail store has pencilled in a August 28 release for the title, which, to date, remains shrouded in mystery as to what it’ll actually offer players, aside from an abundance of exotic wildlife.
When contacted, SCEE told Videogaming247, “I’m afraid there is no news on the Afrika front at the moment.”
Developed by Rhino Studios, Afrika was first unveiled at Sony’s E3 2006 press conference, with a further trailer shown the gaming press at the Tokyo Games Show in 2007. The latter featured the presence of human characters for the first time, taking pictures of various animals from the comfort of their jeep.
Stay tuned for further information on Afrika as it becomes available.

I don't know, it could be quite relaxing and entertaining. Kudos to Sony for at least trying something different.

I love how zarajoe and TaMszz think they know enough about the game to come to some conclusion about its sales and value. -

A dinosaur safari would be 100X better! Still, I think it was a pretty cool idea. If the pricing is right, and I haven't gone broke from all the other great games coming out this year, I might get it. Of course usually hearing no news about something for a while means it's been delayed, put on the back burner, or cancelled. I hope that's not the case :/

As long as we are told, there is no news then thats fine for me.
I hope the media don't harp on about it, hype it up & then cry foul & delay when it doesn't materialize for ages.
Although I have wondered what was happening with this game...Im just glad to see it is still being acknowledged, although that could still mean anything.
I still haven't a clue as to what the game really is about.lol.
