Ever since its release, Sony's most anticipated title Lair has been receiving a number of negative reivews, specifically criticising the game because of supposed control issues.

Former SCEA PR boss Dave Karraker explained that despite reviewers, the success of the game does not come down to them. "At the end of the day, I'll be interested in the consumers' response, because the consumer awareness for this title was so huge. I've spoken to any number of people who really like it, and there's other people that find it a challenge. What really matters is whether or not the consumers are having a good experience, because they'll tell us on the [PlayStation] blog."

For those of you who don't know, the PS blog was started as a medium of communication between Sony and the public, located here.

Lair is a game where the world is imbued with chaos, and two civilizations are at war. With your squadron, it's up to you to save your civilization and restore order. Head over to our review to see what we thought of Factor 5's ambitious PS3 debut.

Lair is a really good game.  the controls take a while to get used to but i would have liked to be given the option to turn off the sixaxis controls.

crap games the controls ruin it and i feel it makes it slightly unplayable so i agree with it scores, patch the game with analog sticks and the game will go from a 5/10 to a 8/10.

psn id: gingo... i tihnk it looks like a great game and i could get used to the sixaxis so controls aren't a problem for me only problem is sometimes dodgy framerate but as long as its playable i'm fine

Bought lair, I"m please with it, my only real problems is a new targeting system better Framerate at 1080p, and less objective cutscenes. Besides that the game is really cool. And is along the lines of an  "EPIC Adventure" when you play it.

I haven't played the game but to me it's you have to be up to the challenge of the controls, funny thing is everyone who's say's they have the game loves it where as the reviewers diss it hmmmmmmmmmmmm? Read the first three comments above two had nothing bad the third say the controls are different but enjoyable nuff said! *I let the people who are at home like me tell me about a game not Reporters, journalist,*

I really want to play this game, but was put off with all the stuff I was hearing.  I bet this game is actually pretty decent, and the controls cannot be that terrible...
