i honestly think gow 3 shouldn't have any online component, they (santa monica studios) should allocate all their resources into the single player campaign.....i mean thats what they've done in the last two gow games and the formula has worked thus far...."if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Well it looks like Yoshida sstrikes again. Why does GOW need online play. Plus co-op who else will fight with Kratos? I really want to know why GOW needs online. The past three games were great without online and so why does GOW need it now.

Well since the first two games are absolute masterpieces. (BESTGAMESEVER!) I don't have any doubts that GOW 3 is gonna rule. Why not include some form of Online play? They are not going to short change the single player campain for online play. GOW already has a severely high standard. If they can come up with something unique and fun, GOW Online will rule just like the  single player. With the use of Blu-Ray, the devs have plenty of room to work with and i'll bet they use it to it's limit.

emo-mercenary, if you haven't played the GOW's, do - they're really, really good games - I'm not primarily an action-fighting gamer (more of a shooter/driver/sports), but had an absolute blast with them.  They are seriously, and by a fair margin, the best action titles ever made (Ninja Gaiden Sigma seriously pales in comparison to them, and while Heavenly Sword is pretty and has a great storyline, it can't hold a candle to GOW's flame) - if you're looking for fun, get into them :).

As for Sony 'rumoured to have announced' - it's got to be a pretty undercover announcement if it's still just a rumour ;).

If this is true, then this will certaiinly be one of the greatest news from E3 this year. I pray it is true.

As for coop mode and online play, they are highly welcomed for what we need in games these days is evolution. This will be great so long as the sigle player mode experienced isn't wrecked.This is one of the games that will take development of games on the ps3 to another level.

I am looking forward to E3.Please psu just do the gret job you have always been doing and keep us updated as news about GoW3 keeps coming.

Since the next God of War is going to pick up from where it left off (climping towards Mount Olympus)  it's only natural that the setting take place in Mount Olympus. I have a feeling you might loose all your powers again and have to find new ones. Also, I believe that those gods that Zues summond for his aid might be boss's. That's just my two cents, E3 will reveal all.

I'm excited to hear about a new God of War. They have always been a good games. im not to excited about hearing it may be playable online.  example: Metal Gear Online...  great game , online is decent for the fact that your fighthing proxy wars just like the game states. and thats fine.  But God of War.......   it'd have to be like the Gauntlet series, or Spartans vs. Persians.   hmmm.. oh well we'll see at E3 hopefully.

I have a feeling the online, if any, will be versus battles and time-trials where you have to clear a room/rooms/course before an opponent (or something along those lines).  Either way I'm psyched for everything GoW III.
