Square-Enix to announce "Lord of Vermilion"?

According to online rumors, the upcoming issue of Famitsu or Dengeki will feature a whole cover story on an unannounced Square Enix title called "Lord of Vermilion".

There are no details yet as to what the game will be about or what platform it will be released on. All we have is a magazine scan, and from the looks of it, this may be something outside of the world of Final Fantasy.

    Anybody remember Sword of Vermilion on the Genesis?  I loved that game...

    psn id: gingo... sounds good but as always we need to see gameplay before we can judge but the name is pretty cool

    The guy who wrote this article left out some very important info on this game. Its a PS3 exclusive. A couple days before that famitsu issue was released squeenix made the announcement.

    Actually guys, in the interview, the guy says, "And we are working on a new PS3 game called Lord of Vermillion."

    I'm not going to fool myself into thinking this is automatically a PS3 exclusive, but it really looks to be that way.

    more evil? maybe next kh game since they said it wont be called kh and will be new franchise and this looks around kh'ish and far from ff

    yes, hope it's a sequel to Sword of Vermilion for the Genesis.  Great RPG and my first one too :)

    I doubt it'll be a sequel to Sword of Vermilion, seeing as that game was developed in-house by Sega. Unless Squeenix bought the rights from Sega, but I don't see that happening.

    Theres also more scans than the one measly one that PSU posted... It clearly shows its a TCG.
    Why are some of the PSU articals so behind whats going on?

    I can name many Square, and Square Enix games that were horrible.  FF Mystic Quest, FFX-2, FF Crystal Chronicals, and many more non-FF games that were sub par.  Coming from Square there is a good chance that is going to be great, but nothing is ever certain.
