Square to announce yet another Final Fantasy at TGS?

With less than 72 hours before the Tokyo Game Show 2007 kicks off, publisher and developer Square-Enix is stirring up more buzz with a possible addition to the Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII project.

A Korean based website, Ruliweb, revealed a screenshot of what looks to be a title called Final Fantasy Melody XIII. Nothing has been confirmed, as of yet, though with TGS kicking off this week, it is not peculiar for this type of information to surface days before the event begins.

Needless to say Internet speculation is already kicking off, with some believing it to be a title for PlayStation Portable or simply the accompanying soundtrack to the FFXIII games. Either way, it is going to be interesting to see how this develops when the TGS kicks off this Thursday.

    I thought this was proven to be false considering the image was from something else? and isn't melody merodii in japanese? or isn't it a direct translation. But hopefully something new does come for the ps3.

    Being a soundtrack sounds about right given the title name but I didn't think soundtracks to games received that much buzz and be announced at a game show. So if its a game could it be the mobile addition to FFXIII? I remember Square saying that there will be 3 games from FFXIII. FFXIII and FFXIII versus for PS3 and another FFXIII for mobile phones. If the 3rd installement has yet to be announced then this could be it?

    I also thought this was debunked,because someone copied and pasted the picture. I saw the original pic, andit was definitely the same thing. I hope it's true, but I expect PSU to do a better job researching info.

    So many rumors....  as long as whatever comes out of squenix has the usual high quality it's all good.  TGS will be fun this year!

    This should be cool to find out what it is. Square-enix we missed your turned based games. But going the way of action rpgs is ok too i actually finished final fantasy xii and the gameplay was different and unique some gamers liked it some hated the gameplay.

    They need to go ahead and make final fantasy all stars.....or better yet final fantasy mana bash brawl....lol....ok jk..
