Konami’s official Japanese store is reporting that the PlayStation 3 Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle has completely sold out, with all pre-orders now depleted ahead of its release on June 12.

Exclusive to Japan, the bundle contains a rare Steel coloured PS3, along with a matching Dual Shock 3 pad and the limited edition copy of MGS4.

North American fans will be able to pick up an 80GB PS3 MGS4 starter pack for the same price as the current MotorStorm bundle later this year.

    O.k., I've already been to the Japanese store since last weekend like I said in my other posts, and the Japanese MGS4 PS3 back has been sold out for DAYS on the Konami Store. But, I'm not surprised because I knew that when MGS4 came out, Japan would be going crazy for PS3's, and a MGS4 PS3 pack is just almost too good to be true, it's a must buy. Period. Japan probably wont be going this crazy for PS3's again until Final Fantasy XIII comes out.

    @1

    Doesn't it not say that the STEEL version is exclusive to Japan?  It doesn't say anything about a STEEL version coming to north america, what it does say is "North American fans will be able to pick up an 80GB PS3 MGS4 starter pack", which will be the same as the Motorstorm bundle.  MEANING - A regular black 80GB bundle and not the limited edition steel one from Japan.

    Now if the main story was edited from when you posted then ok I see what your saying, but even your quote says nothing about a steel version in USA.

    OK, this was going sell out, everyone knew it was lol. It is going to be the biggest game of this year because it is the epic ending to Snake.

    MGS4 bundled with any system is an automatic sellout.

    I really need to know if the STEEL PS3 is coming to the US. If not, then I'm not gonna save up for it.
