Delays, then some more delays - they're what come to mind when thinking about Inspector Tequila's latest high-octane outing on the PlayStation 3. Originally due out during the summer, Stranglehold has been continually pushed backwards from its multiple expected release dates.

Stranglehold has finally gone gold and is prepped for release. Starring Chow Yun-Fat as Inspector Tequila, John Woo's massively destructible sequel to 1992 action film Hard Boiled will be hitting store shelves on October 29th for the PS3.

If you aren't convinced, the Stranglehold demo has been available on the PlayStation Store for quite some time - give it a whirl then make your decision.

I used to want this game but the sudden dissappearance without an announcement that it was being delayed for over a month just killed it for me. Maybe if the game has kicked a few of those hiccups the demo has but then I'm not sure if I'd pay a full 60 bucks now that there are other games to get.

i was interested in this game back in July..... not so much anymore.  To many other great games coming out for me to pick a so so game up.  should have released it earlyer and one par with the 360 version.  These ports of 360 games have to be great for me to buy.  Im not wasting any more money on butchered ports (F.E.A.R.).

The Demo was fun.  The only thinig that makes this a purchase is hardboild shipping on game disc. Otherwise my money would be spent elsewhere.

Well, it looks like I'm one of the few that loved this game. With Tequila's horrible one-liners and awesome stunts, it's ;ike playing a cheesy hong kong flick. And with Hard Boiled, too!

I don't know I kinda liked the demo on live but when I talked to others about actually playing the game, it was short an multiplayer was sub par. :/ So I don't think it would make any difference in rating for the PS3 either. if anything wait to just rent this or rather greatest hits, when ever that happens.

It's not worth the USD $100 for me. I think I wouldn't play it even for free. The game is a joke and introduces nothing new - a mish-mash of BloodRayne and MaxPayne, with worse gameplay and worse graphics, plus frustrations on every step.

Sure, there'll be people to like that game (meaning "who haven't played anything better") - but I doubt they're many.
