Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li movie trailer

20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for the upcoming Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li.
The story focuses on Chun Li’s “personal history and journey for justic,” with Smallville star Kristin Kreuk playing the title role alongside a supporting cast including Neal McDonough, Chris Klein, Michael Clarke Duncan, Moon Bloodgood.
For those actually willing to pay the price of a movie ticket to see the film, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li is set to hit theaters February 27. Hopefully the film won’t turn out quite as horribly as 1994's Street Fighter, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Wait this is a Street Fighter movie??
The old one at least is more liable to the series.... but i dont care anyway....

look pretty crappy and cheesy. They shouldnt be throwing away money with thsi type of movies. Street Fighter is an amazing game but but trying to transfer it to the movies is an enormous and hard task to get it right. They should have learned with the first one and chun li well she isnt that great of a character.

This is gonna be a great movie. Simply because Chun-Li is one of the best characters in the franchise and has always been highly underated. And in my opinion she has always been the best pure fighter in the franchise. (Meaning you can win matches with her easily without using any special moves) Other characters in SF you have to rely heavily on using special attacks. With her. You dont.

12 - so your basis for predicting this to be a good movie is based on her ability to win without using special movies in a fighting game? maybe film critics should adopt this approach too! i see it now - the shawshank redemption = story 10, acting 9, ability to win matches without a special move 0. epic failure of a film! haha you are kidding, this is gunna be weak! tho i did love the first one back in the day!

Has nothing to do with Street fighter? It has street fighter characters, has a street fighter type setting and the story was most likely influenced by street fighter? I can't imagine what it takes to make this movie related to street fighter. I won't say it'll be awesome, but it appears to be avoiding the cheesy feel of mose other game adaptations. From the looks of it, you would all be saying, "I gotta see this" if it had just a martial arts title attached, but since you all have seen horrible attempts at adapting games to movie before, you automatically say, "crap". The trailer looks pretty good, the look and feel of the movie seem to fit in line with what a good movie has right now.

I saw 2 post saying the old one was enjoyable, I thought the same thing, but, go back an see the movie again, it sucks, we were kids, I guess thats why we liked it so much and couldn't see it's crappyness. Anyone remember the Mario Bros. movie, that one was good too.

i just said it was more like the street fighter i always knew from the beggining.
