Footage from Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference has slowly been trickling on to the Internet over the past couple of days, the latest batch of which comes in the form of five-minute plus video of folk utilizing the PS3 motion-controller with LittleBigPlanet.

Check out the video below. Thanks to V247 for the heads-up.

Sony’s wand device is due out in Japan in spring 2010. A western release date has yet to be nailed down.

i think it was stupid. dang sony completely ruined what could have been a great device. having to have 2 people play is fun for a while but would if  no one wants to play, well to bad for you, neither can you. it would have been better if you used the wand to move the sackboy and not a seperate controller.

that wand took all teh fun out of the game... there was no 'puzzle' at all in that level like there is in the rest of lbp

im all for the wand and i think itll be great if used correctly, this just isnt it

maybe if they showed the wand creating the level sorta like in the e3 demo, or sticking to more general genres like rpgs or adventure/shooters -- oblivion would be a pretty fun game to use the wand in

Wow most of these idiots believe its only 2 player I really doubt that Sony would do that heck there hasn't really been any much details about the control methods.

I think they should come up with a character in place of that motion dot.  Maybe a Sack Bug or Sack Creature.

i still dont like the fact you need 2p to play one character.....even for RE5 Alt

I saw another demo with RE5 where the guy was using the MC stick to control the shooting but still using the DS3 to move the character around. This is where Nintendo was smart in creating the nunchuk add-on as I can't see using the DS3 along with the MC stick (that's motion control for those keeping score) as it would just seem awkward to be holding both at the same time.

If Sony could find a way to use the Eye for another type of movement Natal-style that would be better rather than trying to hold the DS3 in an awkward way. Still, good to see Sony putting the controls to some good use. Whether that translates into sales is another matter.

This is going to be pretty cool, co-op LBP.  I wonder what other games this is going to be updated for.

Well, Its a good idea, but I really do hope its optional. The sixaxis is fairly comfortable to use but I'm not going to be forced into using this controller.
