THQ’s Danny Bilson has teased the first details on the planned sequel to FPS outing Homefront – that’s despite the fact the original game hasn’t even been released yet.
According to Bilson, the follow-up will throw in a cast of new characters and all-new features, with the action planned to unfold on the other side of the Mississippi.
"The sequel has new features and doesn’t even deal with the same characters," he commented.
"It takes place on the other side of the Mississippi — nobody knows what’s going on over there because the North Koreans have irradiated the Mississippi with radioactive iodine and nobody can cross it without a hazmat suit. It’s very interesting stuff.”
Elsewhere, Bilson also revealed that THQ is hoping to extend the franchise by way of a spin-off outing following the launch of the inaugural Homefront title in March 2011. Apparently it’ll take place in London, though further details are currently being kept under wraps.
