The Agency and DC Universe Online arriving in 2010

By now, you've probably grown tired of waiting for The Agency and DC Universe Online. While seeing a couple of new videos here or there and finding out which characters maybe present for DC Universe, there hasn't been anything really substantial to get our teeth into.

However, according to John Smedley, President of SOE, The Agency and DC Universe Online will hit retail stores in 2010. Smedley also believes that both games will be responsible for bringing online console gaming to the masses.

"An industry perspective on how new online games will reach the masses."

Encouraging words indeed, though it’s a tad difficulty to reach mass-market appeal with both games still  under the hammer for another 12 months or so. Stay tuned for more information as it breaks.

    I think both of these games could have been major factors in helping Sony mount a comeback, but they are taking so long that I don't think it will matter. I stumbled across info on The Agency in the summer of 07 and have been looking forward to it ever since. It's incredible and unfortunate that Sony's own people are taking so long to bring this game out. If MMOs were part of Sony's grand plan for the PS3, they should have been throwing resources at these games to help speed up the development process.

    DC Universe got my money. 2010 is a way off but that would only mean that the Devs have more time to perfect it

    I agree with #4 and #6. I been waiting for DC Universe for while, but the the Agency I don't seem to care as much.

     damnit!  The agency was supposedly going to launch last December at one point, the game is massive and it's a big deal what they're trying to do so i understand them wanting to do it right. i'm just one impatient guy...

    most MMORPGs take at least 3 years to get to a ready state if they had come out any earlier they might seem rushed.

    i'm actually really excited about The Agency... for alot of people i know it DC Uni. they really care about. anyways, i just really wish that it was 2010 right now.

    I am so looking forward to the agency. I seriously want to play it so bad!!!!

    Couldnt care less about DC universe though. I am also looking quite forward to the very polished free realms

    i want The Agency that's the one i'm lookng forward to DC Universe i'm not to sure about. DC have nobody i like outside the Batman sires now if his was Marvel i would be amp up.

    as long as these games dont follow any of the past or current mmo pay to play pattern or the nickel and dime you to make or hero/spy or to arm them then iam all for getting both of them. but i had to choose id get the pay to play but only if it was under $8 bucks a month and it was a finshed product not a work in progress like too many of the pc mmos.
