Sounds Great, but my only concern is if the new weapons will be overpowered with little ammo or only available as a pickup.

wow i dont wanna pay $10 for a third map pack

i paid that much for motorstorm tracks

and i got to say the $20 i spent on motorstorm dlc i reckon is better value then the $20 i spent on killzone dlc

but maybe if sony wants to give me back my dollar on my prepaid credit card i  will have $10 and be able to buy this

    and to the update

the site aditional sounds and animations looks good

the ability to change game settings in game is good

body count 200 kills should make it funner and longer

double point events looks like it will be good and new loading screens ill like nice little feature i spose

medic gun cosmetic fix looks good nice feature also

otherwise i just hope i dont lag out of a game or get "game host unavailable" message as much anymore

This sounds like a great patch, I'm all for anything trying to make the game better..

Now I don't like the pricing of the last two map packs, too high for what you get.. $4.00 sounds fair

oh great more DLC. thats good and all but im tired of DLC and patches. look at what this gen has brought us gamers. i understand that if a game is good they should add more to it and i understand that if something is wrong with a game they can fix it through a patch so dont bash me for my opinion plz. idk if i will be gettin this

  16. GunTeng

    • 7:39pm BST - July 11th, 2009

    @14

The gameplay is far from slow. Its fast paced, hectic run & gun 90% of the time & thats why I am not the greatest fan of it....too many FPS like that for my liking. Its much the same pace as COD...if not faster.

  17. Nicholes

    • 8:07pm BST - July 11th, 2009

Meh, sounds like its going to make the game more run & gun than ever before.

I really liked the game from pvt-LT because it was more tatical. Once you hit LT on up it becomes pure run and gun and the game becomes boring, just like COD and the million other FPS out there.

With graphics like these it should only take 1-2 bullets to kill some one with most weapons. (depending on the armor, and distance if possible)

GG needs to make an Elite mode for MP, something like:

    *Limited sprint,

    *1-2 bullet kills

    *Spawn nades removed

    *Pretty slow heavy armor class

*Reduction in max throw range for nades

*1 death per round max or 3 lives per round per person

    *Increased machine gun accuracy/dmg

*Rocket launchers converted into AA/Anti-Turret missle launchers with decreased handeling speed and decreased movement speed but with SMG as secondary weapon and regular movement speed when SMG equipped (Reason: The only armor to use an RPG on are drones and turrets, we aren't Iraqi insurgants here using RPGs on soldiers, kinda like Quake 2)

*Overall location based damage increased for all weapons including pistols to enable 1-3 shot kills depending on range and weapon type.

    *Etc. Etc. Etc.

come on y'all gotta be kidding me how can y'all b***ch about the price of Killzone 2 DLC. if you can't afford to pay $5.00 i think its time for you to get a new hobby.

  19. GunTeng

    • 8:56pm BST - July 11th, 2009

    @17

You are thinking along the same lines as myself, but if you are looking for better tactical gaming, the only way this would happen is to take out the respawn ability & add lean/peek. If respwan is removed then the spawn grenades will be romved by default. In their place their could be proximity detectors to pinpoint the enemy on the radar....this would lead to better tactics by far. And by doing that, the spot & mark can be removed from snipers & in their place allow C4 or Sprint.

But the 1-2 hit kills is going too far...especially with increased weapon accuracy. That would lead to even worse run & gun, with people just spraying everywhere.

I do strongly agree with the RPG element though. It needs a handicap...either prevent the user from moving for a seconf or 2 before firing, or make them anti-bot only weapons which require a lock on.

The class using sprint needs an armor reduction..or for their amount of armor to reduce the sprint speed.

But saying all that, it would change the game completely and remove it from what GG intended. Its intended to be a run & gun meat-grinder & thats just what it is. Yes, that game type is pretty lame and for people that want to shoot without thought, not to mention its been done to death...its dull for the most part. But thats just how it is unfortunately for us & for gaming.

GunTeng and Nicholes...quit ur bi***in. Man if u dont like the game then dont play it. Also wat r u talking about u want a tactical game? Wat else do u want? Sentry bots? Spawn Granades? You have to put some thought into the game if u want to win and some if not most of everybody here will agree with me on this and that is wat all the reviewers praised about it, I hate how some people claim this game is not good. How is dat? Go to metacritic and look at the killzone review is a 91% with over a 100 reviews. CoD 4 is 94% with jus 40 reviews, which shows how much pple wantd to c if it would live up to wat everyone expected. Dat is insane. In my opinion is way better than call of duty multiplayer which jus requires you to run like a maniac and shoot anything dat moves.

i'm with 21 on @19 and 17 if thats the type of game y'all want go play SOCOM

  23. Nicholes

    • 6:50am BST - July 12th, 2009

lol SOCOM is horrible. The words realistic and third person shooter can never go in the same sentance.

Hey if I just want to play a run & gun game I'll just choose from the other 100 games out there that do certain things better.

Don't get me wrong the game is fun and all its just pretty stupid how the cover system didn't make it into MP and how arcadish the game gets past LT.

Is there really a reason to get all defensive and attack others? No there isn't thats just your inner fanboy speaking so I'll let that pass.

Also I DID mention an Elite mode.. if you can't handle the higher difficulty then just stick with the skirmish matches then or non elite rooms. Simple..

Lol Nicholes you want to talk about fanboyism, but yet you dont have a psn account, you shown that your dislike toward ps3 exclusives such as Socom and Killzone, and you mention elite mode...elite as in Halo's elite mode? Lets talk about fanboyism then(I also take into effect that Killzone has an elite mode but since you dislike the game thats y I included it). Im not trying to start a flame war here, but from what I read in your post you don't like it. I'm all for hardcore deathmatches, as that is the only thing I played in CoD 4, so don't say that I'm disagreeing with you on the elite thing, is just the fact that you say there is no technicallity to the game which there is, if you take your time to go through all the classes. I'm not saying that Killzone 2 is the greatest game ever made but it certainly is up there, I just don't like the fact that some fanboys claim the game sucks when it reached an average score of 91% with over a hundred reviews. The reason y I stress this is because all the other games that have a higher score have 40 to 50 reviews. I don't like the fact that you r accusing me of being a fanboy because I'm not I had a 360(it got RROD) I loved Gears of War, Halo 3, and Mass Effect, so I don't know where you are getting these ideas of a fanboy, which you were the one who clearly sounded like one. I just dont like people crying or nitpicking about small things about a game(like I hear people crying about the revival gun or flamethrower, not you, which really don't change the gameplay element) thank god they addressed the issue though. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I'm not trying to fight but you were stressing some things that really dont change anything about the overall game, is more like personal preference. By the way is sentence not sentance. Jus saying...

This whole dlc is going out of hand. To get all, we'd have to pay nearly as much as for the main game and those are only maps, created with ready game's engine.

FloodOne, those are normal abbreviations nowadays that people use on a day to day basis. I'm not going to argue with an ignorant fool as yourself. If you would take the time to look at how long the post was, and not trying to argue with me because I am speaking my opinion of Nicholes, then you would see that I didn't feel like spelling the whole word out, so I preferred to abbreviate. I was being critical of him because he was being critical of me. Anyways, until you show me your English Degree, then I have no need to argue with you. Again, I was being critical of him and not trying to sound like a professor like you are. The conversation was between me and Nicholes. So mind your own business. For the record Killzone is the S**t!
