Wow, I'm liking the layout of the PSN store even more! Much better than the Live Marketplace: very fluid and smooth. Has anybody here purchased anything yet? I'm curious as to how long you have the video for.

I've rented 10,000 B.C. and am d/l it right now. I’m getting the SD version, which is 1769 MB, so it takes about 3 hours for me to download. The HD version is 6420 MB, so I guess if you picked the HD option on a movie it would take on average about 3 times as long to download. It says it is “available for 14 days. However the content can only be played for 24 hours after the first playback.” So if you suddenly get busy and can’t watch it, you can put it off until you have a free day to watch it. The rentals are priced differently with the older movies being cheaper of course. I think my next purchase will be The Swiss Family Robinson. Hey, they should make a game based on that ;) I was also surprised that they have a really nice selection of TV show episodes to buy as well. It's not a bunch of terrible reality shows I've never heard of, but the good stuff my friends and I actually like to watch (Mythbusters, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Metalocalypse, Robot Chicken, Futurama, My Name is Earl, etc.). I still have yet to see my movie since it’s still downloading (75%), but so far I am very impressed. I’ll let you know how it is after it gets done. They could always use some more studios and movies, like more of the classics, but overall a great start. Good job Sony! :)

I wanted to download The new anime 'Xam'd' but I dont want to rent it I want to keep it.
after about a hour and something minutes I just settled for "The Last Dragon" which I like.
oi so many people are downloading now that its slowing down my download 8% in 18min?

@ XenoSilvano Well, buying costs a lot more and 10,000 B.C. just seemed like a movie I wouldn't watch much if I did buy it. I actually think it might let you authorize a rental to where if you run out of time and you decide you want to buy it it just authorizes it and you're set without having to download another version. I'm not sure on that though and I could be wrong. The HD rentals probably won't let you since I haven't seen any HD movies for sale, but the SD versions might. Like I said, I could be wrong, but I'll let you know if it gives me any extra options to buy the full one without having to download it again. -

It'd be kinda harsh if they didn't allow you to do that; a 1 time rental? that took you so long to download! (Personally I've never been the renting type ...'what I'm paying you money just to borrow it?')
I was thinking about purchasing 'Moon Phase' ep1 = $2 + tax 15¢
Season 1 has 26 ep. so thats $2 + tax 15¢ • 26 which equals = pretty much $56
I dont know, is it worth it for 1 season?
ah man! I'm so excited about all these video downloads! now I can purchase good quality videos, that won't come out on Blu-ray, for my playstation 3! how awesome is that!!! has anyone seen 'Look Whos Talking'? - I loved that movie!
QUICK NOTE: What this is only available in the US? my friends are gonna be jelous! too bad UK we still love you ♥ hahaha that Video download service is BOOM!
