[UPDATE] Frontlines: Fuel of War PS3 canceled?

According to the latest Internet rumours, the PlayStation 3 version of upcoming THQ shooter Frontlines: Fuel of War has been canceled.

Reports originally surfaced through a number of North American retailers, who allegedly received notification of the game’s status over the weekend via email.

Developer Kaos Studios has yet to officially confirm or deny these reports, although a senior member of the company’s official forum commented, “Again, please do not overreact to rumours or, like with release dates, take what retailers say as truth. The timing of this was unfortunate as it was the weekend but there will be actual info shortly."

Set in the year 2024, Fuel of War depicts a world where the depletion of oil and other natural resources has reached critical level, throwing the globes nations into chaos. Rising tension between the East and West result in the formation of two major alliances, the Western Coalition and Red Star Alliance, who ultimately inaugurate full-scale war as the earth’s last remaining oil supply runs dry.

Stay tuned for more information as soon as we get it.
