Splinter Cell: Conviction lead designer Steven Masters has revealed that Ubisoft ‘could absolutely’ execute the upcoming stealth romp for Sony’s PlayStation 3, asserting that the game’s Xbox 360 console exclusivity was purely a business decision.
Speaking to website Kikizo, Masters commented, “Well that’s purely a business decision. That’s it.”
“Ubisoft as a company now has a lot of experience with PS3. Our processes, tools, techniques are very well-developed – we could absolutely execute on the PS3 if we had the opportunity, but like I said it was a business decision,” he added.
Splinter Cell: Conviction is due out on Xbox 360 and PC in October 2009.
