Sony recently sent out a note to their Home beta users letting them know that Ubisoft will be the first company to take advantage of the new Media & Events room. Screenshots of this new portion of Home, released yesterday, have definitely been met with a positive reaction from fans waiting for the live social networking application. Available below is the note in full that was sent to each user.

Dear Home testers,

The Home team and Ubisoft would like to invite you to the first ever Publisher Event in Home. Its a pretty exclusive event too as we’re still in closed beta so please try and make time to be a part of a real first.

We’ll be in Home in the new Media & Events space on the evening of Wednesday the 28th of May between 7pm BST and 8pm BST time and Ubisoft will be showcasing their new titles for you all.

Regards,

Watching a third party publisher take this much interest in Home's capability is not something to overlook and we're very glad to see this type of interest. With Ubisoft's Ubidays 2008 taking place today at the Louvre in Paris, we'll definitely keep you covered with anything PlayStation specific from the event.

still waiting to get in but shouldn't be to much longer.  if anyone wants a tast of what it is going to be like. go to secondlife.com and download then play. almost perfect match as to what to expect. be better for a game computer or at least a newer model.

This is what Sony has been trying to convey since annoucing Home, and is only scratching the surface.

I don't care what people say, Sony can't do anything to prepare for the fact that Home will crash due to extremely high demand/traffic.  It will be a disaster that first week.  The funny part?  It will be all the people that claim that they don't care about it, or lost interest "a long time ago".    Don't get me wrong, I believe them when they say they lost interest, I just also believe they will magically rediscover their interest when they are able to log into it, lol.
