Sony has just released the first boxshots of their new limited edition Uncharted: Drakes Fortune 160GB PlayStation 3 Bundle.

Due to release just before Thanksgiving, Sony's new 160GB PS3 bundle will come packed with Naughty Dog title Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, a Dualshock 3 wireless controller, and a PSN voucher code for Pain. The bundle will retail for approximately USD 499.99.

“As PlayStation Network continues to evolve with our recently launched video delivery service and more exclusive games, PS3 owners are demanding more storage capacity,” said Jack Tretton, President and CEO, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA)

“Consumers also are utilizing PS3 as an entertainment hub for their digital media, placing content such as their entire music collection on the hard drive. The 160GB PS3 system addresses this growing consumer demand in a compelling bundle that delivers significant value.”

thats how much my ps3 bundle was. With motorstorm (which i sold cuz i hated it) and a one sixaxis. :( 80GB. Oh well. I say to myself maybe i should have waited but then again. The  past 8 months of blissful ps3 experience makes up for the ripoff.

Don't get me wrong, but why uncharted? It's a great game but I think they should of put another game in the bundle, a more recent game like starwars TFU, or futur hits like LBP, mtorstorm PR or even resistance 2!

If it does not have any backwards compatability, then it IS exactly like the 40gb ps3 only with the bigger HDD.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, sony should bring back ps2 BC.

Big deal, I already have a 160gb HDD and it's almost full, why can't they make a bundle with one of the new releases like R2.  It's too late now that I just bought a second PS3 with MGS4 LE for $449 and purchased a 250gb WD passport for $85 to upgrade the 80gb drive.  It's so easy to change out the HDD, even an Xbox 3fixme owner could do it.  The new consoles weigh about half of the original 60gb models, shows you how much they actually chopped out of the Black Bohemoth.

Not to bad. I would rather see it come with PS Mic then a game, there is a horid lack of people with mics on PSN makes it hard for a community to grow when I cant speak to the people I meet. I feel like im in COD4 alone when I play.

I got a 60GB and I couldn't be happier about my early purchase.

However: Sony really needs to stop di(king around with SKU configurations to rationalize keeping the price point so dahmned high. I love me some PS3, but I seriously have doubts about its return to dominance if they don't pull their heads out and make it a bit more wallet friendly. $500 could get a wii and a 360 with at least one game. I'm sorry to be ranting, but this is getting a bit ridiculous.
