On IGN’s Play Beyond podcast, the interesting issue is discussed over the format wars. Apparently, according to IGN’s Play Beyond Podcast, Blu-ray is looking more enticing to Universal, a long time supporter of HD-DVD.
The consideration of such a decision seems rightly based given Blu-ray’s sale momentum both with consumers and with retail. Blu-ray sales continue to outpace HD-DVD sales by nearly a 2:1 margin, and major retailers have expressed a strong preference for Blu-ray–a move that is really getting Universal to think strategically.
They also discuss other PlayStation topics such as how Paramount’s surprising and odd decision, was a big mistake. This podcast is definitely interesting, and worth checking out.
