Following the security alert issued by Sony regarding the hacking of the PlayStation Network, Visa has issued a statement to reassure its account holders.

The PSN has now been offline for seven days, and Sony has warned users that credit card details may have been taken.

The statement, issued to MCV, confirms that any card holder who is subject to fraud will get their money back, "subject to terms and conditions."

“Concerned cardholders should keep a close eye on their accounts and report any unusual or unexpected activity to their issuing bank," reads part of the statement.
