Petrol-heads, motorsports enthusiasts and WRC fans alike can now take on the challenge of the WRC with the realistic and accessible driving model of WRC: FIA World Rally Championship. The game features 78 different rally stages and over 550 km of varied road conditions from the 13 countries which host a round of the WRC. Also available for the first time is the new “Road to the WRC” career mode presenting the opportunity to compete for 50 different trophies.

Lacks the oomph and fun factor of its rival DiRT 2, but provides a good framework for future installments of the WRC series.

We like

  • Having access to all the cars, tracks and drivers from the World Championships
  • The variation of tracks and terrain on offer

We dislike

  • It looks and sounds five years behind the times
  • Lack of variation in handling across the classes
  • There is so much more room for improvement
