What does PS3 mean on the love scene?

For the longest time, videogames and men have been synonymous with each other. Not to say that women do not play games, because recent data shows that the participation by women in games is increasing. However, on a broader scale, two thirds of all men between the ages of 18 and 34 own a videogame console. So what point are we trying to reach exactly? Simple, this isn’t the 1980s where console gaming isn't accepted by all men; today most men play videogames on a regular basis and women out in the dating field have a pretty high chance of running into a male gamer.
So for your ladies out there, here are some general stats recovered by three influential individuals. Carl Arinoldo, a NY based psychologist, Ted Owen, a CEO of GGL which is an online gaming network, and Shane Satterfield, Editor in Chief of GameTrailers.com.
They all gave their opinions about what a games consoles such as the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 can describe about a man. Here is what they thought of the PS3 in relation to men...
Arinoldo: He believes that a PS3 user may imply that the guy is an early-adopter, meaning that he likes to be one of the first to have things. He also believes that because of the initial high price point, it may show that he could have “money in the bank”.
Owen: He mentioned that a PS3 owner is the 21st Century individual who loves gaming and wants the best quality out of his experience….and possibly his women. The PlayStation 3 owner also lives life to the fullest and is sophisticated, intelligent, enjoys competition, and is willing to wait a long time (i.e. in the launch line) for a good thing. Finally, he is also very loyal.
Satterfield: He explains that the PS3 male is in the know. Knows the right people, goes to the finest restaurants, night clubs, and doesn’t have to wait in line. This guy is very difficult to keep up with as he is “always” working and when he is not, he uses videogames as the opportunity to experience leisure.
Ladies...our PS3s are warm and we're ready and waiting!

Thats the biggest load of pish i've ever read...so what about the 15 year old who owns a PS3 because he saved up every pit of cash he could get over the course of a coupel of years...or the 25 year old who bought it because he just likes games...it's a generalisation that runs almost like a horoscope...

Haha OH PLEASE. These things are BS: Money in the bank, everyone I know that owns one had to sell his lil' sister to get one and/or is still paying it off through credit. The people I know who own it don't live life to the fullest at all, they are stuck at home playing Ratchet & Clank avoiding all possible human contact unless forced to in the work place. Sophisticated? Please, me and my friends turn into freaks when we have a controller in our hand. Intelligent? I don't play Brain Age and I suck at RTS games. Knows the right people? You mean the right people to play against in Warkhawk? Finest restaurants, night clubs, and doesn't have to wait in line? Yeah right. Not unless they do it in a game. Now it DOES show they they are willing to wait a long time for a good thing. It seems a lot of the people who loved their PS2 but bought an XBOX over the PS3 just couldn't wait and would rather enjoy their big titles now but miss out on the HUGE PS3 exclusives. It also shows loyalty.

seriously a ps3 gamer is simply someone who is waiting for something and when it comes no more dates, "a guy who gets everything", since when is ps3 hard to get, but the loyal part and the long term investment is intellegence that i agree with :P

SO, what do the ladies think of these analysis???
I believe I'm quite the opposite do what they believe a PS3 owner is...I paid this off using a credit card (and still paying it off along with my mortgage and personal loan!), I don't have a girlfriend...anymore!, no "real" friends, no social life, no money and am just a loser who loves playing games! That about sums me up!

This is the WORST abuse of pop psychology I've ever seen in my life. I dont make 60 grand a year I saved my pennies for a year and used my tax return to afford the PS3 and I dont go to clubs otherwise I wouldnt be home to play it and if I DID go out to fancy places like they're saying i wouldnt be trying to meet girls in video games (not that I do now or ever since the number of "females" on line that actually ARE females is impssible to judge)
