According to CVG, Sony’s hotly anticipated futuristic racer WipEout HD will retail for approximately GBP 11.99 when it hits the European PlayStation Store later this year.
Developed by the talented bunch over at Sony’s Liverpool Studio, WipEout HD features beautifully rendered 1080p high definition visuals, online play, Dolby 5.1 sound as well as a plethora of tracks from both WipEout Pure and WipEout Pulse.
Sadly the game has been plagued by numerous delays, with Sony Europe’s David Reeves recently confirming that development of the title had been stunted by a “specific technical problem.”
An official announcement concerning the game’s release date is expected within the next few days.

Can't wait. Would pay up to $39.99 for that game. But if its less and we can get some DLC that would be even awesomer.

For 8 tracks, fun gameplay, superb graphics and £12!!!! Sounds like a bargain, I'll definitely pick it up at that price and so should everyone. I've never properly played a Wipeout game, just demos but I did love the game and at this price and quality everyone should buy it.

@above - I just read this on totalvideogames.com - ""The reason for the delay of WipEout HD on PS3 has been due to the many improvements we have been making and the numerous features we've added to the game. These include: 8 reverse tracks, 4 extra ships, 2 alternative HUDS, 2 Player offline split screen and XMB Trophy support." - hopefully this hasn't changed. Anyway, I'm going to wait for an official announcement on the price. Sounds a little too good to be true! Does anybody know how much HDD space Wipeout will take up? I'm definately considering buying it. I've only ever played demo's of the games (PSOne, PSP) and I enjoyed them a lot.

@17 LOL! Wipeout HD takin up just less than 1gb space? Are you insane? I don't think there's another full game that takes up that space! (Obivoulsy I'm not includin games like PSN titles, such PixeJunk Monsters or SuperStarDust!)
