President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has issued a status update on Rat Race, confirming that the PlayStation Network episodic title has in fact been cancelled.
Speaking in an interview with PS3fanboy, Yoshida commented that the team were ultimately not happy with the how the game was shaping up, stating, "So, yeah, we stopped it. We really liked the concept; it’s like The Office TV series.”
“It was kind of funny but we were not quite happy with how the game was turning out and there was some difficulty in development.”
