No multiplayer in Ratchet & Clank Future?

In an interview with IGN.com, Creative Manager Brian Allgeier revealed many new details obout upcoming PlayStation 3 title Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destructions, including a revelation of a lack of multiplayer.

When IGN asked if there would be any cool multiplayer modes or Co-op gameplay, Allgeier replied:

"We’ve decided that for Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction it was best to focus solely on creating a massive single-player adventure. This decision is based on what we believe our fans would want (the vast majority who play single-player) and where our time would best be spent. After stepping back and looking at the franchise as a whole, we felt that crafting a massive single-player adventure would be more in line with the true essence of the series."

With that said, it sounds like players will be playing alone, but knowing Insomniac the levels will be huge and there should be plenty of hours worth of gamplay. Other details from the interview:

– The first demo will be playable at Sony’s Gamer Day
– The demo will include 5 playable weapons and take place in Kerchu City, a place players visit roughly 2/3 the way through the game.

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is due to be released this Fall.
