Ubisoft’s Chief Financial Officer Alain Martinez has said that his company expects Prince of Persia to turn in a solid performance at retail, noting the chances of the game shifting 2.5 – 3 million copies "is clearly achievable".

“If it goes to four or five [million], then there is an upside factor for the company," said Martinez, during the UBS Annual Global Media Conference. "If it goes to 1.5 million, then there is a downside factor."

He also observed how competition has toughened up as a result of crowded market conditions, though noted the publisher has raised its guidance "three times this year". Elsewhere, Martinez said the company is "repromoting" Far Cry 2 and is hopeful the FPS will prove a strong seller over time, with sales projections targeting in the region of 2.5 – 3 million.

Stay tuned of our review of Prince of Persia in the near future.

4 - 5 mil? Now he's dreaming. PoP may be good, but not that good. I'm not picking it up simply because I can't stand cel-shaded art design in games. It seemed promising until I seen some screenshots. Pass.

Far Cry 2 has such a negative buzz that it will NEVER achieve 2.5 million.  Perhaps had the devs actually fixed many of the problems in the game, they would have created more good will and the buzz would have been different.  Far Cry 2 will end at 1.7 million tops.

great game, highly recommended to PoP lovers.  A bit too easy, but still a good experience, can't wait for the next one, hopefully it gets more challenging

Mikeghtmare, I agree. This game was easy but a good game overall, it was entertaining for me. If they make another one , I hope it will be longer and challenging.

I Have the game through my Gamefly, and The Graphics are Beautiful.

@ Stovich,,, This game is far advance for  a cell shaded game. you only notice the cell shaded through cut scenes. Im not a big fan of cell shaded games either, but this game change my judgement  on cell shaded games.
